After a long day crawling into these cavernas we have some really nice specimens. We walk down to the river for a drink and a bath then back up to camp for dinner,which is usually beans and rice with some dried salted meat. After dinner, around the fire, we talk about the big crystals that we will find tomorrow and the next day while sharing some of the local spirits called cachaca. It is made here from sugar cane and spiced with herbs or roots.
